I love the way the Message Bible describes creation...like God is an artist, using wide brushstrokes with his hands to design each thing in the world. The Spirit sees it, God designs it, Jesus speaks it....and it was so.
Genesis 3:4-5 really hit me this morning...how much it has described my outlook in the past...the fact that, like satan said, I think I know what's really going on...that I'm like God, knowing everything. What a responsibility I take on myself with that line of thinking! My prayer is that, like Adam and Eve, I can TRULY see what's going on...that I am *naked* before God...I don't have a clue! Yet, too often I try to hide my ignorance instead by blaming other people or circumstances.
I love God's protection of the human race from having to live forever in our state of ignorance. I see man's removal from the Garden as the first evidence of God's plan of restoration.
